Lofoten islands are famous for its spectacular scenery of fjords, wild coasts and the magic northern lights. The destination is adorable in all seasons: in summer you can enjoy sandy beaches with its turquoise water, in autumn the colorful landscape in red and yellow shades and in winter- and springtime you have the very good chance of witnessing the northern lights directly from Black Aurora Nook. During all seasons you will see the majestic sea eagles in the area, since a main breeding place is close to the cabin.

From January to March the area is also known for its fantastic possibility to go backcountry skiing. This you can do best at the famous Higravstinden and Sautinden, which are just next to the house.

Black Aurora Nook, embedded in a little cottage area consisting of 10 houses, is part of Laupstad, which is a very small community, with no grocery store.

Svolvaer, the main city of Lofoten, is just a 20-minute drive away and offers all amenities you need for a pleasant holiday: restaurants, museums, supermarkets and organized boat trips and sea eagles tours. If you need any more information, please contact us.
